See your story the way analysts do
I help investor relations teams understand how sell-side analysts and investors model, question, and interpret their company.
Start a conversationHow the models shape the story
Analysts turn a company's disclosures into models, and those models shape price targets, ratings, and the questions on every earnings call. Knowing how the models are built, which assumptions drive them, and where analysts disagree gives an IR team a clearer view of how its story is landing.
I spent years as a sell-side analyst at Stifel and RBC Capital Markets covering medtech, healthcare, energy, and utilities, building and defending those models, and later evaluated companies from the buy side. I now help IR teams see their company through that lens.
Adding the analyst's perspective to your IR work
Sell-side model review
A close read of how each analyst models your company: the key assumptions, where they differ from each other and from your own view, and what explains the gap.
Consensus analysis
What the Street expects and why, and where consensus is most likely to move.
Earnings preparation
How results are likely to be read, the questions analysts are likely to ask, and where the messaging needs to be clearer.
New coverage
Preparing for analysts initiating coverage, including what they'll need and where they're likely to push.
Investor Day support
Structuring the story and reviewing materials from an analyst's perspective.
Pre-IPO preparation
A simulated sell-side initiation before the roadshow. I build the model an analyst would build from your disclosures, write up the key debates and risks the way an initiation report would frame them, and walk your team through the questions to expect. You see how the Street is likely to value and question the story while there's still time to adjust it.
Ongoing support, or a focused project
I typically work with clients on a monthly retainer, with regular support across earnings cycles, model and consensus tracking, and preparation for investor meetings. Discrete projects, such as pre-IPO preparation or an Investor Day, can be scoped on their own or added to a retainer.
I work alongside your IR team and outside IR firm, adding the analyst's perspective to what they already do.
